Self Care & Listening to what your Body, Mind and Soul needs…

Hello,

Debbie here from My Holistic Bliss. Creating experiences that help you to stress less, stay well and live more is my thing.

Welcome to my Blog and I hope you enjoy reading.

July my classes, workshops, and retreats both online and in person are themed around Self Care. So, over this month my practices, this blog and my social media pages will be breaking down Self Care and how we can incorporate it into our daily lives to help us to maintain optimum physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

Find out more about what I’m up to in July here – www.myholisticbliss.com or if you prefer video My Holistic Bliss July Theme

What is self-care?

When you think of self-care often, we think of treating ourselves to a massage, spa day, Holiday or similar. Whilst these are all wonderful ways to contribute to your wellbeing, one spa day or one holiday a year is not going to support your health and wellbeing all year round.

Self-care is about investing in your long-term health and happiness, with daily behaviours that promote good health and wellbeing for Body, Mind and Spirit.

You might already be doing practices regularly without realising its self-care and sadly you may also be neglecting or struggling with elements, through life being so busy or letting your mind convince you that unless it’s a big event it’s not valid.

July – Self Care – Listening to the needs of our

Body, Mind & Soul

Stress Less – Stay Well – Live More

Let me breakdown some of the core elements of self-care, which will give you an idea of what you’re already doing and what you could realistically add in consistently to help make a difference to how you feel physically and emotionally.

Physical Self Care

• Our daily food & drinking habits – looking after ourselves from the inside out, hydration

• Our Physical Activity

• Rest, Recovery & Sleep

• Care of our body – teeth, skin, hands, feet, hair etc

Social Self Care

• Connection and support from friends, family, loved ones

• Letting go of relationships that don’t support, nourish or serve you

Emotional Self Care

• Taking care of our heart and emotions

• Stress Management

• Regularly checking in with ourselves and how we are feeling Physically and emotionally

Intellectual Self Care

• Nourishing our Minds – Learning new skills, hobbies, reading and listening

• Positive thinking

Spiritual Self Care

• Nourishing your soul, regardless of your beliefs, finding your own way to practice them

Because this is such a huge topic, I’m breaking it down further throughout this month and I hope you will find it useful to helping you Stress less, stay well, and live more…

Until then you could get started by noting down the areas you feel are the biggest priority in each of the sections of Physical, Social, Emotional, Intellectual & Spiritual Self Care and thinking of habits or behaviours you could start to incorporate into your daily routine to support them.
