Cortisol ‘The Stress Hormone’ we cant live without it, but it sure causes issues when were hanging on to too much of it.

Stress you see, whether its a big stress or a little stress is something our body is used to dealing with & responding to. The bodies physical responses to big or little stresses in life are the same and meant to be temporary i.e. we encounter a stressor, our body responds by prioritising the hormones and bodily responses that help us deal with that stress, dials down on the hormones and bodily functions that are less of a priority at that particular moment.

This is how its always worked for thousands of years, however life has changed. Now we tend to have lots of little stresses building up alongside the more occasional big stresses and the problem is we are now more chronically stressed and this causes a whole host of issues with our sleep, skin, digestions, energy, mood and physical health. Cortisol is not being restored to normal levels, instead its remaining elevated for longer or even remaining constantly high.

The good news is you can reset and balance your cortisol levels very effectively and naturally. You can learn to manage your physical and emotional response to big and little stresses, so its not quite so detrimental to your health and I can show you how.

These retreats focus on the key principles of Resetting & Balancing your stress, energy & wellbeing, providing you with a toolkit of realistic, effective and feel good practices that you can use in your everyday life.

These key principles are - Breath, Movement, Mindfulness, Nourishing Physical and Emotional Self Care.

Drawing from my experience of Breathwork, Yoga, Mindful Movement, Chinese & Western Nutrition, Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, Gua Sha Skin & Body Acupressure and self care. We explore a variety of practices that cultivate healthy habits to Stress Less, Stay Well and Feel Good.

I’ve also found perfect locations that give you space to press pause on your busy schedules, surrounded by beautiful countryside views, open fires and other likeminded women.

  • Seasonal Yin & Yang Yoga that honours the current season and how to better balance the ebbs and flows of our energy and stress levels both on and off the mat

  • Qi Gong, Mindful Movement, Meditation, Mindfulness & Journaling with tools to reduce the impact stress, anxiety and overwhelm can have on our physical and emotional health

  • Sleep Reset Rituals Workshop with practical tips and practices to improve your sleep quality to feel well rested and ready to face the challenges life throws your way, Meditation and Journaling for good sleep.

  • Introduction to Gua Sha - Acupressure & Lymphatic Drainage for Skin & Immune System Health

  • Seasonal Nourishing Meals - Including recipe guide to recreate them at home

  • Aches Away Body Acupressure & Myo Fascial Release to ease tension, aches and pains in the body

  • Optional Additions - Skin Firming Facial, Cosmetic Acupuncture, Tuina Massage, Cupping and De Stress & Balance Acupuncture

Each weekend retreat also corresponds with the current season with specific practices that support your physical and emotional wellbeing at that particular time of year, plus my favs that are all year round nourishing practices.

Both of the venues I use are stunning, peaceful, surrounded by countryside with with everything you need for a luxury yet homely experience away from home.

Included in each package - Accommodation, Retreat Workshops & Activities, Goodie Bag include some tools to continue your cortisol and wellbeing boosting journey at home - Gua sha jade crystal tool & complementing nourishing oil, acu seeds, myofascial muscular release balls & Journaling notepad. All Nourishing Plant Powered Meals & Refreshments, Towels & basic toiletries in rooms.

Each venue also has on site Sauna and Ice Bath, Acorn Wellness have Steam Room and Sauna which are all included as part of your stay.

Arrival is from 4/5pm on the Friday and departing Sunday from 3-4pm
